Real News refers to what the M5M like to pass off as actual, important news. This includes celebrity news, show business news, reality shows, or anything that really has no business being in the nightly news cast. Examples would be stories from shows like Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Access Hollywood, etc. Also included would be John’s Beauty Pageant reports. These segments were normally introduced with the included jingle… one of the oldest jingles on the show. Real News segments kind of disappeared once “Fake News” appeared on the scene, at least the playing of the jingle.
